Landscape GH has been designing, building, and keeping gardens in Accra since 1986 — a practice now in its fifth decade under the same discipline it started with: survey before drawing, drawing before pricing, and a written scope before a single plant goes in. The firm’s home ground is the capital’s residential estates — Cantonments, East Legon, Airport Residential, Trasacco and their neighbours — where its longest-standing maintenance contracts have run for many years without interruption.
Where our work lives
Most of what Landscape GH builds is private: high-end residences whose owners expect the garden to be finished to the same standard as the house, and hospitality grounds — hotel arrival courts, pool terraces, restaurant gardens — where the landscape is photographed by guests every single day. Corporate receptions and institutional grounds round out the portfolio. Because so much of this work sits behind private walls, we publish project classes and neighbourhoods rather than names.
How a commission runs
Every engagement is owned by a named member of our project office from the first site walk to handover. Planting plans are drawn for Accra’s actual climate, hardscape is built from the sub-base up, irrigation and lighting are commissioned against drawings, and each handover file includes the care schedule the grounds will need in its first seasons. Where a client’s estate or facility is subject to inspection regimes — Ghana Tourism Authority star-rating inspections among them — our grounds documentation is prepared to stand in that file.
The measure of forty seasons
Fashions in planting have come and gone since 1986. What has not changed is the test we set ourselves: a garden that still reads as designed five years after handover, and a maintenance visit that leaves a written record every time.
